Chengdu Jinshi Youzhi Technology has outlined plans to work with the Chengdu Sculpture Association on digital sculpture and cultural products, according to a company report published on October 23. The report describes a recent association visit without specifying its exact date.

The proposed cooperation covers digital design, cultural IP products, public art projects and training. The company said both sides intend to combine the association’s artistic resources with its manufacturing services. The report describes planned collaboration rather than a completed new production platform or a disclosed equipment order.

During the visit, delegates reviewed resin, nylon and metal samples and discussed a workflow spanning scanning, digital modelling, printing and finishing. The company also presented earlier large sculpture and stage-prop projects as examples of its capabilities. Those examples are background to the discussions.

The announcement points to an application opportunity for Chinese printing services: connecting artists’ digital designs with physical fabrication and repeat production.
