Siraya Tech Fibreheart TPU-GF: TPU with 15% glass fiber to prevent shrinkage and warping

Siraya Tech has announced Fibreheart TPU-GF, a TPU-based composite filament containing 15 percent glass fiber. The material is aimed at functional components that require classic TPU qualities such as toughness and energy absorption, but also need greater dimensional stability and mechanical load-bearing capacity. Among other things, it is intended for use in construction, industrial design, and drone components.
The manufacturer cites warping and shrinkage as the core problem, which can occur with conventional TPU, especially in large-format functional prints. The glass fiber reinforcement is designed to reduce these effects and thus enable greater dimensional stability, even with complex components. In addition, the fiber content is intended to increase stiffness so that parts yield or deform less under mechanical stress.
Siraya Tech also highlights abrasion and chemical resistance among the properties. Fibreheart TPU-GF is designed for environments where components are subject to wear or come into contact with media such as automotive oils and industrial solvents. At the same time, the filament is said to retain the damping properties of TPU. Applications such as damping bushings, impact-resistant mounts, and handles, where energy absorption plays a role during operation, are mentioned.
According to the manufacturer, the surface effect is also part of the concept. The glass fibers are designed to visually conceal layer lines and promote a matte surface reminiscent of injection-molded parts. Siraya Tech is thus positioning the material not only for prototypes, but also for visible functional components.
Among other things, the company cites industrial devices and tools that require both grip and durability as applications. For the FPV sector, protective parts for drones are listed that are designed to absorb shocks and crashes. Siraya Tech also mentions mechanical end applications such as flexible couplings, seals, and power transmission components.
