Swiss sportswear brand On has recently unveiled the third generation of its Cloudmonster running shoe series, with the standout model being the LightSpray Cloudmonster 3 Hyper featuring a 3D printed upper created using the LightSpray process.

The new generation includes three models: the Cloudmonster 3, Cloudmonster 3 Hyper, and LightSpray Cloudmonster 3 Hyper. The flagship LightSpray Cloudmonster 3 Hyper is scheduled for release in early March 2026, constructed from just eight total components, including a fully 3D printed upper and a two-piece supercritical foam midsole.
The shoe's biggest highlight is its weight control. A men's size 8.5 weighs just 205 grams, a full 90 grams lighter than the standard Cloudmonster 3. The secret to this lightweight design lies in the LightSpray upper technology—a spray-based manufacturing process that eliminates traditional layered construction, delivering a form-fitting fit with no pressure points. The porous structure also provides temperature regulation functionality.
The significance of this launch extends beyond the product itself. On has opened a second automated LightSpray production facility in Busan, South Korea, with the Cloudmonster 3 Hyper becoming the first mass-produced model from this factory. According to reports, the new facility increases the technology's production capacity by 30 times, marking LightSpray's official transition from an early limited-edition "showcase" product to a mass production platform capable of meeting mainstream market demand.
Each pair ships with specially designed socks engineered to complement the upper's breathability and provide targeted cushioning. For runners pursuing极致 lightweight performance, this 205-gram 3D printed running shoe is certainly worth anticipating.
