On July 25, 2026, HeyGears launched its G1 full-color series on Kickstarter, raising approximately $7.22 million (about 50 million RMB) on the very first day.

This set a new record for the best Day 1 performance among tech creation crowdfunding campaigns this year, and also made it one of the highest-selling single product launches in the history of 3D printing crowdfunding.
The G1X is HeyGears' first consumer-grade device, yet it directly incorporates self-developed Material Jetting and full‑color 3D printing technology – capabilities that were previously exclusive to industrial‑grade flagship machines, which typically cost over $45,000, weigh more than 140 kg, and occupy over 0.65 cubic meters. The G1X achieves the same industrial‑grade full‑color results at one‑tenth the price, with less than one‑third the size and weight. This means that capabilities like full‑color models without post‑painting, transparent and translucent integrated parts, and artistic deep‑relief sculptures can now truly enter homes, studios, and small farms.
What's more, it's not just a full‑color 3D printer. The device supports three ink systems – UV resin, UV ink, and water‑soluble ink – and can switch between them with a single click. Beyond high‑precision 3D printing, it can also handle millions of colors in flat printing, textured surface printing, and fabric transfer film printing, covering 6 major categories of creation, over 50 applications, and compatibility with more than 400 types of substrates. From figurines and model kits to cultural creative designs, from industrial teaching aids to personalized DIY, one machine does it all.
On the materials side, 90% of HeyGears' consumables are self‑developed and produced, with pricing set at just one‑tenth to one‑fifteenth of similar foreign products. This thoroughly breaks the old barrier of "affordable to buy but expensive to use" for full‑color printing.
Why has HeyGears been able to pioneer this new category? The reasons are straightforward: the company invests nearly $14.4 million (about 100 million RMB) annually in R&D, with full‑stack in‑house development. They began laying the groundwork for Color Print (CP) technology back in 2022, and after two generations of iteration, the G1X represents the culmination of the third generation. More critically, HeyGears has absolute control over costs and even plans to bring the machine price down to under $722 in the future. Founder Gui Peiyan has made it clear that in the short term, they will target professional creators and commercial studios; in the medium to long term, they aim to fully enter the mass consumer market – their goal is to reshape the landscape of mid‑to‑high‑end consumer 3D printing within three years.
