A metal 3D-printed Atomium model, crafted by PEAK, was gifted to mark the 20th anniversary of the Belgian Consulate General in Guangzhou.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Consulate General of Belgium in Guangzhou, a metal 3D-printed model of the Atomium (a landmark building in Brussels), meticulously crafted by PEAK, was presented as a commemorative gift by the Belgian Consul General to the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangdong Province.

The Atomium was originally created for the 1958 World Expo, featuring nine metal spheres symbolizing European unity and the peaceful use of atomic energy. It stands as an important cultural symbol for Belgium and Europe. Utilizing Farsoon's metal 3D printing technology with minimal support structures, PEAK achieved a seamless, one-piece formation that accurately reproduces the complex lattice structure of the Atomium. This not only showcases China's cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities but also represents a new bridge for technological and cultural exchange between China and Belgium.

Huashu Support-Reduction Technology: Decreases Support Usage by Over 60%

For the 3D printing of PEAK's atomic tower model, which required replicating its intricate interlocking lattice structure with 0.2-0.3mm overhanging thin rods, traditional metal 3D printing would necessitate extensive supports. This often led to the rods adhering to the supports, damaging the pore structures, and frequently caused the thin rods to break during support removal. Utilizing its support-reduction technology, Farsoon achieved self-supporting formation of the overhanging thin rods, reducing support material usage by more than 60%. This not only improved post-processing efficiency but also prevented structural damage. Ultimately, the model was reproduced with micron-level precision, allowing this cultural symbol to embody both technical sophistication and artistic integrity.

PEAK & Farsoon: 3D Printing Empowers Sports Equipment

The collaboration between PEAK and Farsoon is not their first. As early as 2022, Farsoon provided polymer 3D printing technology support for the R&D of PEAK's sports equipment, reducing the shoe upper manufacturing process by one-third. This further validated the technology's adaptability and efficiency across multiple scenarios.

Since the 2018 Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games, PEAK has been the official partner of the Belgian Olympic Committee, consistently providing solid support for Belgian athletes to achieve outstanding results in international competitions. In January of this year, the two parties renewed their partnership, committing to another eight years of collaboration. Leveraging continuously evolving innovative technologies, PEAK will create higher-performance and more competitive professional equipment tailored for the Belgian delegation. From Summer Games to Winter Sports, from youth competitions to top-tier international stages, PEAK is dedicated to enhancing athletic performance through technology, supporting Belgian athletes in pushing their limits and achieving new glories.

Belgian Consul General, Mr. Tom Venmans, noted that the collaboration between Guangdong and Belgium in economic, trade, and technological fields has already yielded fruitful results. This structure, symbolizing European integration, reinterpreted through metal 3D printing technology, concretely reflects the depth and innovation of the bilateral cooperation.
