XECARB PEBA-CF combines a thermoplastic elastomer with 15% carbon fiber for extrusion-printed parts that need controlled deformation and elastic recovery.

Xenia Materials has introduced XECARB PEBA-CF, a 1.75 mm filament for fused filament fabrication. The material combines a polyether block amide (PEBA) matrix with 15% carbon fiber. Xenia says the reinforcement adds stiffness while the elastomeric matrix helps the part recover after deformation.

The material targets parts that need some give under load, such as robotic grippers, sensor mounts and protective housings. For those applications, the balance between stiffness and recovery may matter more than either property alone. Engineers evaluating a specific part will still need to test the chosen geometry and print orientation under its expected loads.

Xenia lists a density of 1.08 g/cm³ and a heat deflection temperature of 105 °C. Its recommended starting conditions are 230–270 °C at the nozzle and 60–90 °C at the bed, with drying at 85 °C for six to eight hours.

Xenia is listed as a Formnext 2026 exhibitor in Frankfurt.
