BigRep Opens ALTRA 670 Orders, Targets Delivery by End of Q1 2027

The industrial polymer printer combines a 670-liter build volume with a heated chamber and dual high-temperature extruders, according to BigRep’s October announcement.

BigRep is accepting worldwide orders for its ALTRA 670 industrial polymer 3D printer, with initial customer deliveries expected by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The company describes the launch in an October 2026 announcement.

The machine provides a 1200 × 700 × 800 mm build envelope, equivalent to about 670 liters. BigRep specifies chamber and bed temperatures up to 140°C and dual DSX extruders reaching 450°C for engineering polymers, including high-grade polycarbonate. These are manufacturer specifications, rather than independent test results.

The system extends the ALTRA 280 platform, retaining servo motors, ball-screw drives and industrial controls while increasing space for large parts. BigRep says first-series machines are in production.

The product page also describes automatic calibration, material-runout detection, an extruder relay mode and dry material storage. The announcement identifies industrial applications in which large polymer components and controlled production conditions are required.
