At the Shenzhen 3D Printing Expo, Haitian Additive unveiled two core products.

Haitian, a company known for injection molding machines and die-casting machines, is bringing 60 years of equipment manufacturing heritage into metal 3D printing.

The C425M-SE focuses on molds, prototypes, and shoe molds. Since its launch last year, annual sales in South China and East China have reached over 100 units. Shoe-mold midframes, outsoles, and tread-pattern parts, 3C smartwatch housings, foldable-screen middle-frame covers, medical acetabular cups, and intervertebral implants are all common applications.

Even more eye-catching is the integrated powder suction, sieving, and feeding system. In the past, prototyping shops and shoe-mold factories relied on manual powder feeding, which created heavy dust and harmed workers' health. Haitian uses positive-pressure inert gas to deliver powder to the machines. After printing, when parts are removed, the powder is sucked back, and residue and fallen support structures are sieved out. One system can connect to up to eight metal 3D printers. It automatically detects which machine is low on powder and refills it, enabling 24/7 unmanned operation. The layout can also be flexibly configured according to the available floor space. Customer feedback has been straightforward: Can we buy it separately? Can it be paired with other brands' machines?

Manager Xiang cautions against changing powder frequently. Volume-production customers usually dedicate one powder type to a group of machines—one group for aluminum, one for titanium—and it runs smoothly. If you only have one or two machines and often change powder, the system is actually not cost-effective.

Haitian Additive does not only make machines for prototypes and shoe molds. Its 1.2-meter and 1.5-meter large-format machines have entered aerospace and defense. At the show, it displayed aerospace ring components and cooling bushings for commercial space. In microchannel liquid-cooling plates, Haitian is using green-laser technology with customers to develop TPMS (triply periodic minimal surface) and biomimetic heat-dissipation structures.

Haitian was founded in 1966. Its injection molding machines cover more than 130 countries and regions, and it jointly launched a 9,100-ton integrated metal die-casting machine with Xiaomi. Sixty years of equipment manufacturing experience is now becoming a practical competitive edge in additive manufacturing.
