The October 21 update adds a swappable hotend, HighTemp sheets and engineering filaments; the hotend is incompatible with INDX.

Prusa Research is offering its 400°C HT Hotend as an upgrade for CORE One+/L+ printers and factory-installed on new CORE One L+ machines, according to its October 21 announcement. The hotend is not compatible with the INDX system.

The company also added HighTemp build sheets for these printers and three filaments: Siraya Tech Fibreheart PPA-CF Core, Fiberon PPS-CF10 and Fiberon PPS-GF20.

Prusa says higher extrusion temperatures can improve interlayer adhesion for some existing Prusament materials. These are manufacturer-reported results, rather than independent performance verification.

The nozzle rating does not remove every processing constraint. Prusa identifies the 60°C chamber temperature as a limitation for materials such as PEKK-A CF; it says small components may be printable. It also recommends filtration or external exhaust when processing high-temperature polymers.

The HighTemp sheet targets demanding polymers, while the company cautions that standard materials can adhere poorly to its surface. Material choice therefore still requires matching the hotend, build surface and printing environment.
