Autodesk has recently integrated the AI tool Wonder 3D into its Flow Studio cloud platform, enabling users to quickly generate editable 3D models from text descriptions or image templates.

This is particularly valuable for the 3D printing field—whether for prototyping or concept modeling—significantly shortening the path from idea to physical object.
Flow Studio (formerly Wonder Studio) was originally an AI platform focused on visual production, supporting features such as motion capture and camera tracking. The newly added Wonder 3D module further bridges the gap from inspiration to model: the text-to-3D function generates characters or objects based on descriptions; image-to-3D converts sketches or concept drawings into textured models; users can even generate concept images through text first, then use them as the foundation for 3D models. All generated data supports later adjustments to shape and materials.
The export format is compatible with the universal OBJ format, making it easy to continue refining models in other software. Autodesk specifically highlights the tool's tremendous potential in game development, virtual production, prototyping, and 3D printing—for makers and developers who need to bring AI-generated designs into the physical world, this is undoubtedly a game-changer.
