Leading amusement park brand meland recently upgraded its global flagship store at Wukesong in Beijing, partnering with Bambu Lab to launch the “Tech Innovation Co‑branded Ultra Edition.”

The new space features a large‑scale cyber sand table, a tech innovation corridor, and 3D‑printing creative play courses designed specifically for children aged 3–8, making it “Beijing’s first 3D‑printing tech innovation park” for families.
At the same time, the two partners plan to roll out “3D Printing Creation Centers” in Shanghai, Wuhan, and other cities, bringing the tech‑innovation experience to a wider audience across China. Since the first co‑branded store opened in Shenzhen this March, the model has been quickly replicated and is now setting a new direction for family‑oriented consumption in the AI era.

From “Play” to “Creation” – An Upgrade in Value

As a brand 4.0 flagship, meland Wukesong was already a family landmark with its large mechanical animal themes and over 500 interactive activities. The integration of 3D printing now creates a powerful echo between “mechanical marvels” and “hands‑on making” – children are no longer just spectators; they can use printers to turn their own designs into physical objects, infusing the park with a genuine educational and inspirational spark.

Filling the Gap in Early‑Childhood Tech Education

Current tech‑education options tend to be either museum‑style observation or classroom lessons constrained by time and equipment. The meland‑Bambu Lab collaboration precisely targets the “family + tech” scenario, shifting children from passive entertainment to active creation. Responding to the market’s shortage of enrichment products for young kids, they have developed a four‑tier curriculum that integrates PBL (project‑based learning) and international educational philosophies. The focus is on fostering critical thinking and collaboration – not on a simplistic “one‑click print” gimmick.
On‑site, children love to crouch by the machines, watching their creations grow layer by layer. Parents are equally amazed at the reasoning and imagination their kids reveal. In the relaxed environment of the park, the seeds of creativity are quietly planted.
This partnership goes beyond a business innovation – it redefines what a family space can be. It is no longer just a place to spend money, but a nurturing ground that encourages continuous innovative thinking. meland says it will continue to explore the potential of these parks as “third growth spaces,” offering Chinese children a fertile foundation for creative development from an early age.
