This $15,000 giant-format FGF printer has the potential to reshape the cost landscape of large-format 3D printing.

On May 14, 2026, Peopoly, a 3D printer manufacturer based in Hong Kong, launched the Giga 800 — a large-format FGF (fused granular fabrication) printer with a build volume of 800 × 800 × 800 mm and a starting price of just $15,000 USD. This dramatically lowers the cost of industrial-scale FGF printing.
Compared to traditional large-format FGF systems that often cost six figures, the Giga 800 uses direct pellet feeding, achieving a throughput of up to 3 kg of polymer per hour. Material costs are reduced by as much as 90% compared to standard FDM filaments. Its print volume is large enough to consolidate multi-part assemblies — which used to take days — into a single overnight print job. Peopoly states that its goal is to extend the ease of use found in desktop printers to industrial scales, making it easy to produce composite molds, automotive fixtures, and large architectural models without the high costs typically associated with such large formats.
On the technical side, the Giga 800 features a closed-loop servo CoreXY motion system that eliminates layer shifts during long prints through continuous position feedback. It also solves the common issues of nozzle oozing and stringing in granular printing by combining active mechanical retraction with Klipper’s pressure advance algorithm. The printer ships with pre-configured material profiles developed in collaboration with Siraya Tech’s materials team.
What makes this machine particularly unique is that it runs on open-source Klipper firmware and supports “air-gapped” operation (no internet connection required). This meets the security requirements of customers in defense, aerospace, and advanced R&D sectors, where proprietary design data cannot leave their facilities.
The Giga 800 is currently accepting applications for early access from business partners and print farms through a form on Peopoly’s website.
