Opening Ceremony of the 3rd Vocational Skills Competition of the People's Republic of China

From September 19 to 23, 2025, the Second Vocational Skills Competition of the People's Republic of China was held at the Zhongyuan International Expo Center. Compared to the previous national competition, this edition closely followed industry trends. The participating contestants, having undergone rigorous selection, stood out from tens of thousands of candidates, representing the highest domestic skill level in their respective fields.

Throughout the competition, UnionTech's technical engineers provided comprehensive technical guidance and support for the Additive Manufacturing event of the 3rd National Skills Competition, ensuring its smooth execution.

Top Talents Gather, Remarkable Skills Showcased

Under the theme "Skills Illuminate the Future," this edition of the competition featured a total of 106 events, comprising 66 selection events for the WorldSkills Competition and 40 nationally selected events. A total of 35 delegations participated, formed by 31 provinces (autonomous regions, and municipalities), the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and three industry sectors: the Ministry of Transport, the China Machinery Industry Federation, and the China Light Industry Council. The total number of contestants reached 3,420. Concurrently with the competition, events such as the second "Skills Power Forum," skills exhibition and exchange, demonstrations of unique and exceptional skills, and small-group skills training sessions were held.

Introduction to the Additive Manufacturing Event:

Additive Manufacturing, also known as 3D printing, is an emerging technology that creates physical objects by building them layer-by-layer based on digital model files obtained through 3D scanning or digital modeling. It integrates computer-aided design, material processing, and forming technology. Using specialized software and CNC systems, it employs dedicated metal, non-metal, or medical biomaterials, depositing them layer by layer through methods such as extrusion, sintering, melting, or photopolymerization (e.g., SLA/DLP). The skills required for contestants in this event encompass a series of tasks including forward design, 3D scanning, 3D printing, and post-processing.

Competition Modules:

Module A: Structural Optimization Design and SLM Manufacturing

Module B: Functional Component Design and FDM/DLP Manufacturing

Module C: 3D Data Acquisition and Reverse Reconstruction

UnionTech Becomes Premier Equipment & Facility Supporter of the Competition

The current trend of integrating technology and skills undoubtedly presents greater challenges to practitioners, demanding higher comprehensive qualities in terms of educational background, ability, and skill level. The 3rd National Skills Competition designated the stereolithography 3D printer AME RH2500 as the official industrial-grade high-performance 3D printing equipment. With a build volume of 250×140×240mm, it employs an industrial 4K light engine, featuring a robust optical system at its core, and is equipped with a micron-level resin level control system and industrial-grade intelligent algorithms. The design and production of the AME RH2500 prioritized human-machine interaction, resulting in comfortable and user-friendly operation. Furthermore, this printer is equipped with industry-leading technologies for light engine distortion correction and automatic projection calibration, successfully ensuring printing stability. It is now widely used in the field of vocational education.
