Print Your Own Trendy Sneakers at Home! Formism Digital Shoe Models Now Live

At the end of 2025, the emerging footwear brand Formism made a stunning debut on the MakerWorld platform. The series of shoe styles launched by Formism, designed in collaboration with Bambu Lab, quickly captured the attention of both the 3D printing and contemporary design communities. The project initiated a crowdfunding campaign on MakerWorld (scheduled to conclude around mid-February 2026). The initial funding goal was set at a modest $1,000, but the market response has been exceptionally enthusiastic. To date, funds raised have exceeded the target eightfold, reaching approximately $8,500.

Product and Pricing: A New Approach to Digital Assets

Currently, Formism has listed three digital shoe models on MakerWorld: the Persona Heel Shoes, Persona Unisex Shoes, and Persona Sneaker. Each digital model is priced individually at $49, but users also have the option to purchase them as a bundle.
Complete Package: Includes personal-use licenses for all three designs, priced at $119.
ACE Package: Builds upon the Complete Package by adding the option to receive a pair of physical shoes printed by Bambu Lab, priced at $459.
Commercial License: An option available for commercial use.

This sales model transforms footwear into a "digital production asset." After purchase, users can print the shoes an unlimited number of times, freely choosing colors, material hardness, and elasticity, truly democratizing the "right to manufacture."

Brand Background

Formism is part of SCRY, a company consistently dedicated to footwear research and committed to breaking the boundaries of traditional aesthetics. SCRY made waves in 2021 by launching the world's first fully integrated 3D printed sneaker, the "Shuttle," pioneering a new track for domestic 3D printed whole-shoe technology in China. The current collaboration between Formism and Bambu Lab reflects the growing trend of 3D printing footwear at home.

Technology and Ecosystem: A Combined Hardware & Software Approach

To support this collaboration, Bambu Lab specifically launched new TPU filament colors, most notably a highly distinctive and visually striking silver. The material is optimized for printing footwear, balancing flexibility with durability. Formism defines itself as a "digital production asset studio," focusing on footwear, fashion, and lifestyle sectors. The brand's goal is to redefine the standards for footwear and accessories in the era of personal manufacturing, emphasizing the integration of precision, functionality, and aesthetics.
