The product line now spans from portable entry-level tools to high-precision scanning for large scenes.

On September 8, SCANTECH launched the flagship TrackScan Sharp-Z tracking 3D scanning system and also introduced the TrackScan Go mobile 3D scanning system.
The biggest breakthrough of Sharp-Z is its 12-meter tracking distance, well beyond the 8.5 m, 6 m, and 4.2 m common in the industry. Its tracker has a dynamic turntable that follows the scanner in real time, creating a 360° measurement range with a 12 m radius. With a fixed viewpoint, a single station can cover up to 600 m², so large workpieces need fewer station moves and on-site efficiency is higher.
On the acquisition side, it uses a four-cross-light design with 162 laser beams in total, up to 200 FPS, and up to 10 million measurements per second. Its four modes each do their job: 4×35 cross lasers handle high speed and large depth of field; 21 parallel lasers capture precision surfaces; and a single-line laser reaches deep holes and blind spots. From large castings to precision parts, one device can handle almost everything.
Interaction and battery life are also built for the field. Both the scanner and tracker have screens, so status, calibration, and optical pen probing are visible in real time. Three programmable buttons allow one-touch access to common functions. Dual-edge intelligent computing supports high-speed wireless data transmission. Dual-channel, dual-bay power supplies allow battery changes without power loss or downtime.
For accuracy, the device complies with ISO 10360-13. Its frame is a one-piece regular icosahedron carbon-fiber structure, making it lightweight yet rigid and reducing the impact of temperature changes and handling on accuracy.
For 3D printing, as large-scene, high-precision scanning matures, inspection of large castings, reverse engineering, and quality control gain stronger tools. The 12 m tracking and 162 laser beams directly address the pain points of dimensional inspection and quality verification for large parts.
