On October 30, 2025, the inauguration ceremony for the sixth council of the Hong Kong 3D Printing Association was held. The entire event, from the formal attire to the agenda, was conducted with a strong, characteristic style of the Hong Kong business community, demonstrating considerable vision and stature.
The chairman of the sixth council is Mr. Nicholas Lai from Poly Machinery. In an exclusive interview, Chairman Lai stated that the Hong Kong 3D Printing Association will increase its interaction and exchanges with the 3D printing industry in Mainland China. The goal is to leverage Hong Kong's position as an international trade hub to bring more additive manufacturing solutions to the world.
The chairman of the fourth and fifth councils, Calvin Hu, expressed great anticipation for the new council. He hopes it will drive the implementation of 3D printing technology across various industries and increase the understanding and acceptance of 3D printing among the Hong Kong public.
The members of the Hong Kong 3D Printing Association come not only from the field of 3D printing but also from other manufacturing sectors such as casting, hardware, toys, and automation. Notably, many of these companies have their factories located in Mainland China.
