3D Printing +2! National-Level "Champion Enterprises" Revealed, with Both Consumer and Industrial Grades Selected

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially announced the list of the ninth batch of National Manufacturing Champion Enterprises. It is reported that two companies from the 3D printing industry – Shenzhen Creality 3D Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Uniontech Co., Ltd. – have successfully been selected. This honor is renowned as the "jewel in the crown of manufacturing," representing that a company has reached a leading level domestically or even internationally within its specific market segment.
The National Manufacturing Champion Enterprise initiative began in 2016. It is the highest honor in Chinese manufacturing, organized and certified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, awarded to enterprises that have long focused on specific market segments, mastered core technologies, and hold leading domestic or global market shares.
Selected enterprises must have deep involvement in their specific industrial chain or product field for over 10 years, with their core products ranking among the top three globally in market share. They must possess internationally advanced production technology and process levels. Simultaneously, they must demonstrate outstanding performance in R&D investment, intellectual property, and technical standard formulation, showcasing sustained innovation and industry leadership capabilities.
Clearly, Creality and Uniontech are representative enterprises meeting this standard, holding leading positions in the consumer-grade and industrial-grade 3D printing sectors respectively.

Creality: Global Pioneer in Consumer-Grade 3D Printing Ecosystems

Founded in 2014, Creality is a leading global enterprise in the consumer-grade 3D printing ecosystem. It has been recognized as a GEI China Gazelle, a National-Level "Little Giant" SME specializing in niche markets, and a Champion in the ninth batch. The company focuses on the R&D and manufacturing of 3D printers, with products covering both FDM and resin-based (SLA/LCD) printing technologies. Its ecosystem extends to 3D scanners, laser engravers, materials, and accessories, accumulating over 800 patents.
Headquartered in Shenzhen, it operates production bases covering over 260,000 square meters in Wuhan and Huizhou. It also has overseas warehouses in locations like the US and Germany, with products sold to more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. From 2020 to 2024, Creality's cumulative shipments reached 4.4 million units, capturing 27.9% of the global market share, firmly placing it in the top tier globally for consumer-grade 3D printers. In 2024, the company's revenue reached 2.288 billion RMB, with 700,000 machines shipped, securing the position of second globally with a 16.9% market share.
Adhering to the brand philosophy of "Create Reality, Achieve Dreams," Creality is committed to bringing 3D printing into every household. It actively fulfills social responsibilities, using technological innovation to promote sustainable development. In August 2025, Creality submitted its listing application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, potentially becoming the "first listed consumer-grade 3D printing company."

Uniontech: Leading Enterprise in the Full Industrial Chain for Industrial-Grade 3D Printing

Founded in 2000, Uniontech is a leading global enterprise in the industrial-grade 3D printing sector and a key pioneer in China's additive manufacturing industry. The company's products and technologies cover printing equipment, materials, software, and services, forming a complete closed-loop industrial chain encompassing upstream, midstream, and downstream segments. It possesses outstanding full industrial chain integration capabilities within the industrial-grade 3D printing market.
Currently, Uniontech has established five major marketing regions: China, Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East. Its products are sold to over 50 countries and regions, serving more than 8,000 clients. The company holds a leading domestic position in Stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing, with a market share exceeding 60%. As of March 2025, global sales of its SLA equipment surpassed 10,000 units. Its products are widely used in industries such as aerospace, electronics & electrical appliances, dental healthcare, cultural & creative, education, footwear, and construction.
Through over two decades of independent innovation and technological accumulation, Uniontech continues to lead the high-quality development of China's 3D printing industry. The company has received numerous honors, including National-Level Key "Little Giant" SME, 2025 MIIT Manufacturing Champion Enterprise, National Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise, and Shanghai Scientific and Technological Progress Award, fully demonstrating its technological innovation and industry influence in the industrial-grade 3D printing field.
Currently, Uniontech's pre-IPO tutoring has entered a critical stage, having completed nine phases, positioning it to potentially become another 3D printing company listed on the capital market.
Previously, the MIIT announced the seventh batch of National-Level "Little Giant" SMEs, which included 16 3D printing related companies. These included Dingyi Technology, Zhituo Guxiang, Youyan Additive, Yingpu 3D, Jufu Technology, Beifeng Intelligent, Jinyuan Intelligent, Zhongyuan New Materials, Aisandi, Zhongke Intelligent, Yingchuang Jiguang, Yisheng New Materials, Jianchi Biotech, Yongchanghe, Changlang Intelligent, and Huayang New Materials.
Now, with the official announcement of the even more prestigious National Manufacturing Champion list, and the selection of both Creality and Uniontech, it signifies that China's 3D printing industry has reached a new level in the high-end manufacturing sector.
It is worth noting that in the previous eight batches of Champion lists, only one 3D printing company had been selected – the "Cast Sand Mold 3D Printing Equipment" from Sharing Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. in the sixth batch previously received this honor.
According to statistics, as of now, there are a total of 18,100 National-Level "Little Giant" SMEs and 1,883 Manufacturing Champion Enterprises nationwide. This means that on average, only one "Champion" exists for every ten "Little Giants," highlighting the rarity and value of this honor.
Finally, we have reason to believe that, over time, more and more 3D printing enterprises will join the ranks of National "Champion Enterprises," and the industry as a whole will progress towards a trillion-yen scale. By then, additive manufacturing, subtractive manufacturing, and formative manufacturing will form a tripartite balance.
As The Economist stated in 2012, 3D printing is a core technology of the "Third Industrial Revolution." Today, this prediction is becoming reality. However, the difference now is that 3D printing is simultaneously moving from industry to the masses, entering countless households, becoming the "Magic Brush" in people's hands.
