The additive technology company’s tailored solution helped 200 patients in 2025 alone

AnyShape, an industrial additive technologies company, has applied its expertise in cutting-edge aerospace innovation to successfully help more than 200 medical patients regain mobility in the past year.
The company’s titanium implant has been developed in recent years using the learnings and techniques from its core business sector, as it took on the technical challenge of designing, developing and producing a perfectly tailored 3D printed titanium implant that seamlessly matches a patient’s anatomy.
Titanium alloy implants offer the best overall strength, biocompatibility and durability combination compared to other materials often used, such as cobalt chrome or ceramic. It’s also extremely lightweight, and has a reduced allergic reaction risk in comparison to alternatives.
Titanium also offers superior osseointegration, creating stronger bonding and joint stability. Surface topography of implants is another area which has become increasingly more important with regards to osseointegration – AnyShape’s implant has varying textures of surface to encourage this – and post-processing of titanium implants is crucial in the promotion of tissue growth post-operation.
AnyShape’s rapid prototyping process and cutting-edge 3D printing services out of its Belgian facility is enabling it to deliver fully customized implants in short turnarounds, with full patient adaptation. The company says the approach not only enhances surgical accuracy, but also accelerates the healing process.
