Shenzhen Kylin Jiusi Additive Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Jiusi Additive"), based in Shenzhen, China, has secured strategic investment from Shanghai Jike Technology. The investment is intended to support Jiusi Additive's innovative research and development as well as market expansion in the field of ultra-precision metal 3D printing. In January of this year, Jiusi Additive received a Pre-A round funding from Yunze Capital.
Public information shows that Jiusi Additive was established in October 2023 as a high-tech enterprise specializing in ultra-precision metal 3D printing services. The company is committed to providing customers with high-quality, high-precision metal 3D printed parts, which are widely used in aerospace, medical devices, precision molds, and other fields. Its partners include numerous industry-leading 3C terminal manufacturers, robotics companies, and high-end consumer goods producers both domestically and internationally. The materials offered cover a variety of metals, including titanium alloys, aluminum alloys, and stainless steel.
The company currently possesses dozens of high-efficiency, high-stability metal 3D printing equipment (with over 100 lasers) and has established a chain-based mass production capability and digital management system integrating 3D printing, powder removal, wire cutting, heat treatment, machining, polishing, surface treatment, and product inspection.
This strategic investment was led by Shanghai Jike Technology. Founded in April 2021, Jike Technology focuses on the design and development of consumer-grade exoskeleton devices. By leveraging simulation technology and artificial intelligence to optimize exoskeleton solutions, the company has reduced product weight to just a few hundred grams and costs to the hundred-yuan level, while achieving a reduction in metabolic consumption several times greater than that of traditional exoskeleton solutions. Its self-developed exoskeleton development tools have shortened product design and verification cycles from several months to just a few minutes. In August of this year, Jike launched China's first outdoor powered exoskeleton, Hypershell X. Jike Technology has garnered widespread acclaim overseas, boasting tens of thousands of loyal users and products sold in over 40 countries and regions. Hypershell X integrates cutting-edge robotics, ergonomics, and artificial intelligence, enabling users to effortlessly tackle outdoor challenges and daily travel.
Tianyancha records show that Jike Technology has previously secured five rounds of funding, with investments from numerous renowned institutions such as Sequoia China, Oasis Capital, and IDG Capital.
Through this investment in Jiusi Additive, the two companies will engage in deep collaboration around technology R&D, market promotion, and industrial chain integration. Nanjixiong speculates that Jike Technology may potentially utilize Jiusi Additive's metal 3D printing technology to manufacture certain components for human exoskeletons in the future.
The founder of Jiusi Additive stated, "Jike Technology's investment is a recognition of our technical capabilities and business model. Moving forward, we will leverage the strengths of both parties to continuously drive breakthroughs in ultra-precision metal 3D printing technology and provide global customers with superior products and services."
