Align Technology says it plans to begin a U.S. pilot of Invisalign Sports Guard during the week of its October 28, 2026 results announcement. The product is a custom sports mouthguard manufactured directly by 3D printing from an iTero digital scan.

The company says the guard will have multiple thickness options and be available through participating Invisalign providers. The announcement describes a pilot; it does not establish a nationwide retail rollout or availability outside the United States.

Align presents the project as another application for its direct-fabrication printing and materials capabilities, alongside its Invisalign Specifix attachment system. The company did not disclose the pilot’s size, prices, resin formulation or printer specifications in the product description.

The release discusses awareness of concussion risks as market context. It does not report clinical evidence that this product prevents concussion, so that context should not be read as a demonstrated protective claim.
