The light source module in vat photopolymerization 3D printing directly determines how large, how fast, and how accurate a machine can print.

Anlun Optics is a source manufacturer in this segment, handling everything from optical design to module customization. At Formnext Shenzhen 2026, they brought three product lines.
The matrix light source module covers 6.08 to 23.8 inches, with zonal independent light control at its core. By adjusting the light source in zones, light intensity distribution becomes more uniform, improving both forming accuracy and surface quality. Currently, three models—7-inch, 10-inch, and 14-inch—support zonal control, suitable for dental, model, and shoe mold applications.
The digital light source module takes a point-control approach. The 16-inch version packs 66 independent light cores, modulated piece by piece. A light box on the booth visually demonstrated the contrast adjustment effect—point-by-point control significantly narrows the curing difference between edges and center in large-format printing.
The projection light engine is the highlight this time. There are 6 models of 16K machines ranging from 10 to 28 inches. The 385 to 405nm LED light source, after optical definition, emits at an angle of about 1 degree, approaching parallel light and rivaling laser light sources. The cooling system is specially designed to keep the LCD screen within safe temperatures, solving the pain point of short lifespan. Maximum light intensity is 30mw/cm, with PWM thousandth-ratio free adjustment. Contour recognition adjusts each LED's duty cycle accordingly, achieving over 98% uniformity.
The 28-inch dual-panel projection light engine is the main force for large-format mass production, printing up to 12 pairs of shoes in one build, targeting scaled scenarios in elastomer footwear. Anlun provides complete light source solutions, optimizing cost and time efficiency through zonal light control.
The COB integrated circuit light source targets jewelry and dental applications, performing well in fine hole and layer control, meeting the forming needs of fine structures.
On the technical route, Anlun chose the LCD approach, using domestic LCD screens for light path control. Compared with solutions relying on foreign chips, the domestic supply chain is self-controllable, with significantly reduced delivery cycles and costs. The booth also displayed finished elastomer footwear products printed by customers using 14-inch and 20-inch light engines.
The light source module is a core component of vat photopolymerization equipment, and its cost and delivery directly affect downstream competitiveness. Anlun has shifted from simply selling light sources to providing integrated "light source + solution" services, with a product layout that aligns with the industry's rhythm of large format, high efficiency, and mass production.
