21-year-old transforms passion into 3D printing hub, breaking niche barriers to empower creators with tech and community.
As 3D printing technology rapidly transitions from industrial settings to public life, a 21-year-old young entrepreneur has already taken the lead, turning his passion into reality by establishing South China’s first multi-brand, full-category 3D printing integrated experience space—“Jiyin Tech.” This initiative officially opens a door for all makers and tech enthusiasts to step into the world of three-dimensional manufacturing.
The story began six years ago. At the age of 15, Zheng Hongjing stumbled upon 3D printing technology and became captivated by the world of digital fabrication. Late nights in the school’s makerspace, he often debugged machines and studied models alone, accumulating valuable technical knowledge and hands-on experience. After high school, Zheng continued to follow the development of the 3D printing industry. After acquiring his first personal 3D printer, he began uploading his own designed models on open-source platforms. Among them, the account named “Nanbowan” gradually attracted significant attention due to its practical and creative works, solidifying his determination to turn his interest into a career.
As his influence grew, Zheng Hongjing was no longer satisfied with personal creations. Together with several like-minded partners, he founded “Jiyin Tech,” initially aiming to promote 3D printing culture on campus. Through workshops and science courses, more students could experience the creative process from design to physical object firsthand. However, Zheng soon realized that confining efforts to the campus would hardly advance technology adoption, so he resolved to venture into the broader market.
After months of preparation, the “Jiyin Tech” experience store came into being. The store brings together 3D printing equipment and materials from multiple brands, catering to needs ranging from entry-level to professional, aiming to break the public’s stereotype that 3D printing is “expensive, low-quality, and slow.” Here, visitors not only get to experience the equipment and printing services but also see a wide array of high-quality finished products, showcasing the diverse applications of the technology.
Additionally, Jiyin Tech has collaborated with over 30 designers to provide users with a rich library of printable models. Drawing on past course development experience, the team plans to launch systematic 3D printing education programs and regularly organize offline exchange events, building a user growth path from beginner learning to deep practice.
During the entrepreneurial journey, Zheng Hongjing received support from family, friends, and early investors, securing partnerships with over twenty industry collaborators within just one month. He stated, “Opening this space is about providing a physical hub for everyone passionate about creation. Whether you’re a curious beginner or an experienced enthusiast, you can find relevant resources and a community here.”

The Jiyin Tech experience store is located at Room 109, No. 218, Guanzhang Road (Dongcheng Section), Dongguan City, and is now open to the public. This is a new space for creators, where every idea is expected to be realized through technology, and every passion can find resonance.
As Zheng Hongjing firmly believes: the best technology always originates from passion and ultimately returns to human creativity.
